From STL to Punta Gorda Belize

DAY 1: We had a great travel day to Belize from St. Louis and are all looking forward to connecting with the locals and helping them as much as we can during our mission.

Barefoot Children Ministries brought 20 volunteers and 40 suitcases filled with donations to Punta Gorda, which is on the Caribbean Coast of southern Belize, from 1/7/23 to 1/16/23.

Our primary mission is to deliver these donations (Hygiene Items, School Supplies, Flip Flops, Soccer Balls, Educational Materials. Etc.) assist with construction (Hictacee Church and Otoxha Water) and education.

Our group is primarily from the St. Louis area and attends All Saints Parish. We would like to welcome our 11 new volunteers, and especially the three people from out of state. (WI, FL, CA)

DAY 1 was a travel day, with flights to Belize City and a bus ride to Punta Gorda. We had a nice group dinner at Cheers restaurant on our way to Nazareth. Father Bob led us in a nice prayer before dinner, and a couple others throughout the day.
