And we’re off! Our adventure got off to a crazy start. We were supposed to leave at 5:45 am, Saturday morning. Went to check in for the flight on Friday morning, only to discover that our first flight to Belize was cancelled! Southwest could get three people out through Fort Lauderdale and couldn’t get the rest of the group out until Tuesday. So we scrambled to rent a pickup truck and a large SUV and hit the road with our 21 suitcases, at 3 pm. Arrived at the Denver airport about 4:30 am with many hours to spare before our flight to Belize. Whew! The rest of the day was fairly smooth. Stopped at Chen’s Restaurant for a quick fried chicken/fried rice dinner. Arrived at Chaabil Be about 10:30 pm, we all were pretty happy to hit the sack!
