The Journey Continues

We are quite excited to be heading back to Belize on January 7, with a full team of 20 people. There is a great mix of new and returning team members. We’ve got a busy week scheduled. Our construction crew will be working on a solar water project in the village of Otoxha as well as a building/roofing project in Hicattee. This is the first time we have worked in Hicattee. We will be teaching in the villages of Otoxha, Dolores and MachakilHa. The principals have asked us for lessons to help reinforce math and English skills, and we also have lots of hands-on activities planned in art, STEM and religion. We will partner with Ya’axche Conservation Trust to deliver fruit trees in the village of Aguacate and teach a few lessons related to trees. Add in three school masses, breakfast with our scholarship students and visiting the widows we help support. We’ll definitely need a little beach time by Saturday!
