Medical Supplies

Barefoot Children Ministries assists healthcare facilities in the Toledo District by providing much-needed medicine, medical equipment and supplies for the hospital in Punta Gorda, as well as health posts in several villages. Between 2011 and 2018, four large shipments of medical equipment contained everything from IV poles to incubators. We also provide basic first aid kits for families who live far from healthcare facilities. In June, 2018 we delivered all non-prescription medication listed on an urgent wish list from the hospital in Punta Gorda.

Medical Care for Children

The Emaya Fund provides financial assistance for children in need of medical attention. We connect families with surgeons who specialize in pediatric medicine. We also assist parents, whose children are often treated far from home, with transportation and lodging expenses.
